I recently became the proud father of my daughter Anna. Being a father seems to be a very challenging but rewarding task. So I’ve chosen to prioritize time with her, even if it means cutting back on cycling and swimming. However, the running time remains a non-negotiable part of my life. That way I can stay competitive and still enjoy the special moments with my young family.
Because that’s who I am: a very competitive person always looking for new challenges. In 2021, for example, I completed the Everesting challenge on the ‘Catsberg’ (Mont des Cats). I still remember the happiness of reaching the height of the famous Mt. Everest (8849m) after 82 climbs in a row on that hill. But, seriously, where was the snow???
My challenge for this season is to improve my PR on the marathon. I’m aiming for 2h25min on April 7th in Paris. Let’s see where this amazing team can take me!

When people ask me what I do for a living, I usually answer with ‘I’m a runner’. Running, and trail is what I do, what I breathe and what I live for. It’s not necessarily training or following a well thought out plan, which don’t get me wrong, it often is. But it’s about being a runner to the core.

Let’s hope swimming will bring me to more places I don’t know yet. There are also many pools I haven’t seen. I also hope I haven’t reached my highest level.
And I want to thank my parents to live in a house so close to the pool. It’s a 2min walk to the pool. Imagine the house was further from the pool… (I would be too late much much more).
